The 2021 version is available in body styles of standard length as well as a long-wheelbase Expedition Max. With a 10-speed automatic transmission and a twin-turbocharged V-6 engine, it comes standard with rear-wheel drive. However, you can pay extra for four-wheel drive.

The ride is smooth in this vehicle and has a reasonably comfortable interior.

On the 2021 XLT model, you have the option of getting Ford's Co-Pilot360 Assist. This is a bundle of features for advanced driver-assistance.

On all the trims there are new wheel designs as well.

Also available is a two-row-only XL STX base model which has a lower starting price. This model seats five as opposed to eight.

Ford Expedition Cost

The starting price for the XL STX is $49,995. Key features of this model include 5 passenger seating, the distinctive five-bar grille, and 18" magnetic metallic painted cast-aluminum wheels.

while the starting price for the XLT is $52,810. This model's key features include ten-speed SelectShift automatic transmission, SYNC 3 enhanced voice recognition communications and entertainment software, and PowerFold and PowerRecline 60/40 3rd-row seating.

For the XLT MAX, the starting price is $54,810. Similar to the XLT expect for the wheelbase, you can get additional cargo storage due to the extended wheelbase.

If you want to scale up to the Limited model, the price starts at $61,575.Key features of this model include power deployable running boards, 20-inch premium tarnished dark-painted wheels, and a B&O sound system.

The Limited MAX model starts at $63,575. This model has similar key features as The Limited, but has the added benefit of an extended wheelbase for more cargo room.

For the King Ranch model, the starting price is $72,735. For that price, you'll get gorgeous leather seating, unique wheels and center caps, as well a 360-degree camera.

For $74,735, the King Ranch MAX has similar features as the King Ranch but with an extended wheelbase.

The Platinum model starts at $73,775. This model is equipped with a 3.5L EcoBoost Engine that maximizes your power and offers impressive responsiveness. It also includes a panoramic Vista Roof and Active Motion front captain's chairs.

The Platinum Max starts at $75,775 and comes with the same key features as The Platinum but also has an extended wheelbase.

Transmission, Engine, and Performance

The 2021 Ford Expedition, no matter which model you choose, has a 10-speed automatic transmission and a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6. With an independent rear suspension on all the models, you can expect to have a better ride and experience better handling than with GMC or Chevrolet alternatives.

This is a smooth ride for passengers which is much appreciated for long road trips.

Towing up to 9300 pounds, this vehicle can help you bring everything you need along with you. For the longer wheelbase Max models, the tow rating is capped at 9000 pounds.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

The square dashboard on the interior has large air vents and the material quality improves which each model size up. With a remarkable 15 cup holders in all models, you'll be sure that everyone has a place to put their drink.

All of the models except for the XL STX come equipped with a power-folding third-row seat.

If you opt for The Platinum model, you'll find some truly luxurious niceties. These include leather door trim accents, multi-contour front seats with a massage function, premium leather on the steering wheel, and real wood on the center console.

Unlike other rival SUVs, the third row is plenty comfortable for adults and children alike. The standard is for the second row to come as a bench, however, you can spec captain's chairs instead if that's desired.
